Deprecated Ultimate CNAM Install Script

Overview

What does this script do? Think of it as caller ID on steroids. This script will lookup both US and Canadian caller id phone numbers and try to supply you with a name. If no name is available it will provide you with the rate center of the number (City/State). The software currently supports seven providers:

  • Astridex (untested)
  • Whitepages
  • .com

  • AnyWho.com
  • Canada411.com
  • Google Phonebook
  • TelcoData (RateCenter)
  • Fonetastic (RateCenter)
  • WhoCalled.us *See user guide first

Caveats

Please note this script may violate the terms of service of some of the sites. It is up to you to ensure you have met all the legal requirements and any terms the providers may have. By using this script you agree you that the author, PBX in a Flash, and any of it's employees shall not be held liable for the use of the script.

Installation

  • Log onto PBX in a Flash via the CLI (Command Line Interface) as user root
  • cd /root
  • wget http://www.pbxinaflash.org/scripts/install-cnam.x.gz
  • gunzip install-cnam.x.gz
  • chmod +x install-cnam.x
  • ./install-cnam.x
  • Once the script finishes you need to configure FreePBX to use this script

You can also rerun the install script every so often and it will always install the latest cnam.pl script.
